Finally on time with this! Although this week has been short, it has also been very productive. Yesterday I ran PCR using tissue from a second species of squid (Pterygioteuthis), and today I'll move on to the third species (Phylliroebucephalum, not a squid but most likely has photoproteins). I also cut and processed some promising bands out of my Dosidicus gel, which will be sequenced sometime next week. Overall, my lab days have a pretty good rhythm now: plan out PCR, run PCR, pour gel, image gel, troubleshoot. Excited for the long weekend!
